Girls school!!!!!!!!! :(? uh...my dad wants me to go to this girls college...and i really don'T want to..not because its a girls school, but cuz that school freaks he hell outta me....but i donno how to tell him...he's a strict daddy...
and the probleme is that he thinks that im a boy obbssesd...but im not...and don't want him to think that, but i can't tell him cuz we don't talk about that.... |
I think you should swallow the lump in your throat and just come straight out with how you feel to your dad. It's hard, but it's the best thing to do, because he needs to know how you feel and what worries you, and you need to stop bottling it up inside or you could end up miserable. Just explain that his fears are unfounded and tell him what you would like to do.
About all-girls' high schools. I went to one, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. It was great. You know why? Because it made girls seem really important, as if we really did matter; and it built our confidence. Nearly all the teachers were female too, and the environment was fantastic. We didn't have all that stuff with boys to cope with, and it meant we had peace to study. It took so much pressure off, and I don't feel I missed a thing by going. It was all gains.
Anyway, do try to talk with your dad about this, and I wish you lots of happiness in your future education.
PS I didn't become a lesbian, and there wasn't a single person in my class who did :) |
How do I meet more girls at the neighboring all girls school? I go to an all guys school where the majority of the students came from private school. The problem is that I went to public middle school and because of that I only know public school girls. I had no trouble making friends at my hs, but am finding it hard to make friends that are girls at the neighboring all girls school. Any advice? Preferable not rude stuff |
| Get a mate who knows some girls from the girls school and suggest you all hang out somewhere together :P |
What happens if a girl attends an all girls school but gets a sex change? There is a girl who goes to college with my little sister at Wellesley (an all girls college). Upon being accepted, she was a female. However, during her sophomore year she began taking male hormones and is planning on getting her sex changed and considers herself a male. Can the school kick her out? |
| I would think once he is officially a he, he will have to move to a co-ed college. However, he may graduate before this happens. |
What is the old girls school in Istanbul looking over the bosphorus? I know it use to be an all girls school then maybe a military school. It is old and has a stone veranda that has the best views of the bridge over bosphorus that lights up. I can not remember the name of the place!! |
| Now it is a part of Ciragan Kempinski Palace Hotel . Besiktas Girl's Highschool |
How much does an all girls boarding school cost a month? Hi, I've been thinking about going to boarding school for my sophomore year to the end of high school. It's called Cobham Hall UK Boarding School. It's an all girls school.
Not saying this school imparticuler but how much averagly does an all girls boarding school in london cost!? |
I looked up Cobham hall and I found the price per term (I couldn't find per month) here:
www.cobhamhall.com/sites/default/…
I think you'd have to contact the school to find out the cost per month. The contact numbers are on the bottom of that page too.
As I'm Australian, I have no idea about how much an all girls boarding school in London costs on average.
I hope I helped. =] |
What are the pros and cons to going to an all girls school? i'm moving just in time to start my sophomore year in high school, and i can pick the school i go to. i've been looking around and i found a few i really like, and my favorite is an all girls catholic school. i love the school's academics and philosophy, but i don't like that it's all girls, because i want to have some interaction with guys. so, what do you think are the pros and cons to going to an all girls school?
Thanks! |
Well, in my opinion High School is about two things. One, being preparation for College. And two, having fun. If I had to do it all over again I would have definately try a little harder because scholarship money becomes really handy later on.
Having no males in your school would mean less distraction, and you might be able to concentrate more on your studies. This is no myth - your hormones are going ape at your age and I can promise you would be thinking about the opposite sex more than you might think.
However, I understand that you do not want to be deprived of male contact entirely. There are other means of meeting people though, such as church, clubs, and recreational places. Its not going to turn you into a lesbian. Besides, when you are in college you will be surrounded by people of all genders. |
How do you meet guys while going to an all girls high school? We go to an all girls school, but we do have a brother school. All of our friends that go to our brother school aren't really date worthy. We want to meet new guys, but we aren't sure how to do it. Would going up to random guys at football games or something like that be too weird? Advice, please. |
If you want to meet new guys, then I would say that you should try to venture out and talk to the guys you want to get to know. It might seem a little weird but that is really the only way that you are going to be able to meet new people.
You could try to do something outside of school with a group of friends and maybe they will bring friends that you have never met before or something. It is all about trying to meet new people and if you have to go up to a guy at a football game then I say go for it. It is the only way that you are going to be able to meet new people. |
Im moving from an all girls school to a mixed highschool will it be bad? I go to an all girls private grammar and im now moving to a mixed high school, will it be completley different? Will people be nice do you think? |
| mixed schools are really fun. you are doing to find some great friends. guys are nice to, not all guys though. anyway you will like mixed schools, they are great!!!! |
How do I make friends with boys when I go to an all girls school? I go to an all girls school, which has a boys school nearby. Both dances go to discos and parties together, but my friends and I are quite shy and going up to them and talking up to them at these parties would seem weird at our school, as the boys already have friends from our school. How do we make friends with them? |
i went to a girls school for 5 years lol and as soon as i got to college it was just normal - trust me you're stressing over nothing!
i was thinking omg i wont be able to talk to boys but like i hang around with some now because girls and boys share common interests you know!
unless you're attracted to them it's pretty easy - they're just like us when it comes to convo
i promise you - it will be fine take it from personal experience
